4000 square foot full-floor conversion of warehouse space into a residential condominium.
The 123 foot length is broken down visually by a central arcade articulating the existing structural bay spacing and adjacent to partial height walls separating private spaces. Each end opens to formal and informal living spaces of exposed brick walls and massive windows.
Floor levels were raised and lowered to define spaces and conceal mechanicals. Windows were salvaged and rebuilt to maintain the true character of the building façade. Interiors were clad with hardwood as a warm smooth counterpoint to the harsh roughness of the concrete and brick structure. |
